Training Design and Development Specialist

The position is located in Wyomissing, PA

The purpose of the department is Centralized Risk Management Department handling all Risk Management for decisioning for the United States.

The scope of this job is Assisting in the development, production, and delivery of educational material designed to assist team members with

continuing educational needs.

The individual will be responsible for

1. Determining training needs, and developing the appropriate format to assist in the development of employees.

2. Prepare, evaluate, and assemble course materials.

3. Obtain and analyze information to ensure quality and accuracy of decisions. Communicating decisions and training issues as needed.

4. Providing support to team to deliver customer service, and ensure profitability.

5. Delivering educational material to an advanced underwriting staff.

The skills required are:

1. Intermediate - Strong written and oral communication skills to prepare communications using correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

2. Intermediate - Needs independent judgement, attention to detail, and ability to retain information.

3. Intermediate - Oral and written communication skills used to write and develop documents.

4. Intermediate - Outstanding organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

5. Intermediate - Ability to conduct analysis on a variety of subjects, and create/execute action plans.

Experience Required:

Instructional design and development experience 2-5 years. Knowledge of insurance terminology is helpful. Customer service experience also

helpful. Experience delivering training material in a diverse training medium. This position requires sitting for long periods. Aptitude test required.

Computer Proficiency:

Intermediate to advanced software skills in Windows applications, Excel, and PowerPoint desired.

Education:

College Degree - Preferred

Major preference: Instructional Design or Organizational Development, with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
