Training Designer

As a training designer, you would design, develop, and measure effectiveness of training for 45,000+ Circuit City store associates.  Much of this training design will focus on Store Operations, and the responsibilities of this position include working with Business Partners to define key strategies, conducting needs analyses, designing and Developing training for various methodologies: e-learning, instructor-led, web-based, and paper-based. 

 

You must also be able to measure the effectiveness of training programs, take on additional tasks/projects as assigned, and assist other training team members and cross-functional partners as needed.

 

To be successful in this role, you should have:
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to build and maintain positive, productive relationships with both internal and external business partners
Proven organizational and planning skills
Strong PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint (Required)
Demonstrated ability to prioritize objectives and meet critical deadlines
Ability to make decisions by identifying issues, diagnosing problems, generating alternative solutions and analyzing opportunities and risks
Demonstrated ability to partner with others to advise and influence when making decisions
Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of associates and management
3-5 years of consumer electronics retail experience and/or 3-5 years training delivery and design
4 year college degree
Proven focus on the customer
Project Management experience
Working knowledge of e-learning delivery platform
