Training Specialist

Your job is responsible for the coordination of national, regional, and local training seminars and conferences as well as assisting in the development of Financial Advisor training programs for all businesses within the P&S Consulting Group and adhering to all Firm policies and procedures. You will assist in the development of educational workshops, which entails creating instructor guides and participant manuals that integrate adult learning principles and developing measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs. You will plan, coordinate, and attend national, regional, and local P&S Consulting Group training workshops and conferences. Your specific duties will include venue selection and booking, contract administration, menu selection, room design, AV and computer/technical needs, speaker coordination, attendee management, budget & final invoice processing, and the planning and coordinating of special events and group recreational activities. You will plan, coordinate, and attend P&S Consulting Sales Team meetings. You will revise and update existing training programs for refinement and enhancement. You will schedule facilitators for New Financial Advisor Stage 2 training and prepare/coordinate deliverables. You will perform operational functions of a program, such as on-site support. You will track Compliance Continuing Education requirements for ICS Distribution staff. You will assist on special projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications
You are a professional with a college degree, 3-5 years training experience and a Series 7 license (or the ability to obtain your license within 6 months after hire). You are knowledgeable in the Instructional Design Process. You are competent in the Adult Learning Principles. You have the ability to interact with Senior Managers, BOMs, FAs, product areas, vendors and field experts. You have the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy. You have strong organizational and project coordination skills. You have the ability to set priorities and manage deadlines. You have strong verbal and written communication skills. You are self-motivated and pro-active with an entrepreneurial spirit. You are a team-player, enthusiastic and positive, polished, poised and professional. You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Position requires 40% travel.

Preferred Qualifications
You have 1-2 years in financial services industry, preferred.
