Training Specialist - Equities – Focus Group Accounts


 


 


The Training Specialist (a member of Reuters Training) provides excellent product, markets and client knowledge and focuses on building strong relationships with our end user base for “high-tier” Reuters' clients in North America, across the Consultative and Focus Group Accounts to ensure client retention and growth for Reuters Products. The Training Specialist is an “ambassador” for Reuters providing excellent client service to the customer.


 


Job Description – Duties and Responsibilities:


 

Work with the account team to develop and execute account plans to protect Reuters existing revenue and ultimately grow revenue.
Build and maintain strong relationships with influential site contacts and end users at “high-tier” Reuters' clients in North America, across the Consultative and Focus Group Accounts to ensure client satisfaction.  During regular clients visits, make sure that client’s needs are met and questions/problems resolved appropriately.
Prepare and deliver presentations of Reuters Products to clients, Reuters Training and sales teams.
Lead appropriate sales and product migration campaigns.
Provide pro-active feedback on products, services, and market trends to Segment Product Business Owners, BTG and Product User Experience group to enable Reuters to respond to change.
Provide feedback to account teams on clients’ use of products, future service needs, internal relationship issues/conflicts and competitive situations
Act as a product and markets expert to educate Reuters Training and sales teams to protect and grow Reuters revenue.
Act as an internal expert on competitive products and provide regular intelligence to Reuters Training and sales teams.
Report on activities to the Director Training Specialists.
Update Siebel CRM database with relevant information and activities at client organizations
Product Specialists should always gain knowledge of market factors affecting their clients by utilizing both internal and external sources and keep abreast of competitive information.
Perform other assignments requested by the manager


Job Specifications – Required Skills and Education:


 


· BS/BA required or equivalent work experience


· 3 to 4 years experience in the Equities market (Series Certified Preferred) a good knowledge of customer business needs and workflows.


·Strong Customer Service Skills, the ability to create and build client relationships.


·Excellent listening and negotiation skills.


·Knowledge of trading floor technology (ideally equities); including data applications.


·Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications


·Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a creative approach to communicating with clients, sales and other members of Reuters Training


· Ability to work as a member of a team.


· Ability to multi-task and has the able to function in a time sensitive environment.


· Strong organizational skills.


· Self-starter, independent worker


· Strong background in Equities.


· Knowledge of ReutersStation would be advantageous.
