Training Specialist - GovConnection (123878-533)

Ensures maximum effectiveness of the sales force by implementing and conducting training programs for GovConnection Sales Account Managers at all locations with an emphasis on the NH FED/SLED sites. Has strong technical knowledge of the company?s products, services and sales techniques with specific expertise around Fed/SLED contracts, pricing, procedures and processes.  Monitors and reports on the effectiveness of training and may be involved in ongoing program enhancements.  Works closely with Senior Sales Management to evaluate trainee?s progress and recommend training or coaching interventions as needed.  Conducts performance discussions when needed.  Familiar with a variety of the company?s concepts, practices and procedures.  Relies on experience and good judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  Performs a variety of tasks.  A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

 

Individual will:

 

Conduct and/or participate in training for GovConnection employees; this includes but is not limited to new hire classroom sessions, advanced systems & sales skills, GovConnection procedures and policies.

Provide 1-1 coaching and floor training support (program rollouts, site skills assessments, program updates, bonus program testing).

Facilitate testing and program evaluations; completes trainee assessments; completes progress reports; updates training materials.
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent work experience required
1-2 years proven experience as a GovConnection Account Manager preferred or 2-3 years experience in an outbound sales environment within the computer industry or government (Fed/SLED) sector
Must have a strong working knowledge of company systems and procedures and a working knowledge of computer technology
Must have strong sales skills with the ability to transfer that knowledge to others
Experience training others both in a classroom setting and 1-1 coaching preferred
Familiarity with and ability to utilize adult learning concepts
Must be detail oriented with good time management and organization skills
Must be able to communicate effectively with senior management level personnel
Must be creative and have a strong desire to help develop the skills of others.
Must have proven ability to work independently and possess good decision making skills.
