Training Specialist (Sales, Telecom, ISP)

The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a/an Training Specialist for our Commercial Services Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.


Essential Job Functions:
Instrumental in the development, delivery and marketing of Instructor led and web based training courses and materials; Prepares training materials, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, and other educational resources; Facilitates Product and Sales training to TWC divisions; Conducts needs analysis studies and confers with managers and supervisors to determine training needs; Works with staff to formulate training policies, programs, and schedules, based on knowledge of identified training needs, company production processes, business systems, or changes in products, procedures, or services; Selects appropriate instructional procedures or methods such as individual training, group instruction, self study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role play, and computer-based training; Collaborates with instructors and supervisory personnel in effective techniques for training, such as on-the-job training, sales skills, management development, product knowledge and adaptations to changes in policies, procedures, and technologies; Researches and selects outside consultants and trainers to conduct training on specific topics; Maintains records and prepares statistical reports to evaluate performance; Coordinates established training courses with technical and professional courses offered by community schools; Screens, tests, counsels, and recommends employees for participation in internal or external educational and training programs.


Job Requirements:
Must fully understand MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint; Working knowledge in programs such as PhotoShop, Illustrator, etc. Excellent presentation skills; Excellent oral and written communication skills. High degree of creativity and independent thinking; Outstanding project and planning skills; High level of professionalism; Travel 25%
Preferred Qualifications:
Skilled in the creation of CBT and/or other web based training applications. Familiarity with B2B operations is helpful.


Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
