About the Position Available

The Audio Applications Specialist is responsible for the review of plans and specifications to ensure the proper use of sound system reinforcement equipment for the application. Build sound racks from material requisitions. Read blueprints and install all head-end devices including patch panel and field wiring of patch panel if necessary. Install sound equipment rack; conduct final commissioning and in-service training. The Audio Applications Specialist will also work with Architects and Engineer?s on specifications and product information recommendations. Convert blueprint plans and drawings to Ease? drawings for proper product use and placement. Provide Sales Support to determine best product line to recommend in regards to customer requirements, building design, and budget.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 See sound reinforcement projects from conception to completion. Review plans and specs for new projects. Recommend products to meet specifications and plans. Build sound reinforcement equipment racks in assembly shop Perform final connection of sound reinforcement equipment rack Perform complete commissioning of sound reinforcement equipment rack Provide training documentation for the customer Train customer on the proper operation and use of the sound reinforcement system Provide follow-up through site visits, phone calls, and e-mail Assist Service Technicians, Project Managers, and Installation Leads as required for successful completion of jobs Build relationship with customer through data collection meetings, in-service training and follow-up visits. Maintain system manuals, project updates, customer database, and technical bulletins Assist Sales Department with site survey and system design as requested

 

Qualifications:



 1 ? 2 years previous experience with audio systems Must have knowledge of loudspeaker rigging, including but not limited to; proper rigging procedures, liability, proper aiming and placement. Ability to meter cables for impedance, grounds, polarity, and confirm ID. Ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences Excellent customer service skills Excellent organizational skills Ability to read blueprints preferred Possess excellent written and verbal skills, able to articulate and adjust the message to match the audience Excellent time management skills Ability to prioritize and work independently Have a valid California Driver?s license and have a clean driving record Basic knowledge of computers, office phone systems, fax machines, voice mail preferred Knowledge of K-12 education and hospital environment preferred
