Biomedical Clinical Engineering Manager

As the Biomedical Clinical Engineering Manager you will supervise and coordinate activities of biomedical equipment technicians engaged in maintenance, repair and calibration of biomedical equipment used in this 1000 bed Medical Center. Utilized knowledge of computer, electrical, mechanical engineering principles and other related technologies. You will analyze department budgets to identify budget needs and or reductions, and may allocate operating budgets funds. The Biomedical Clinical Engineering Manager interprets company policy to employees and enforces safety regulations as well as interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to employees. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assist employees in solving work problems. May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action. Responsibilities will include imaging equipment, computer repair and telecommunications Equipment.

Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor's degree  and a minimum of 5 years related experience as a Biomedical Equipment Department Manager. The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services, entrepreneurship and building and growing a strong business is critical. Knowledge of preventive and corrective care standards for Biomedical, Radiology, Oncology, computer networks, and telecommunication equipment is essential to success in this role. Knowledge of JACHO standards and other local, State and Federal regulations required. Prior budgetary and P&L experience desired. Prior applicable military experience will also be given consideration.  Union experience would be preferred.
