Business Development Manager

We are an electronic components distributor company targeting major Govt agencies in US and outside the country. We have an excellent opportunity for someone with managerial skills and electronics background. We have a need for a manager who will handle all daily operations and also be responsible to develop and build on new business by assertively identifying and pursuing sales opportunities. He/She will continually work on accounts to ensure retention of business through proactive, quality customer service and through the identification and pursuit of ongoing up sell opportunities. Must have strong technical skills to understand the technical product line of electronic components, semi conductors and electron tubes. Although the current location is clifton, NJ, there is a plan to move this office in central jersey in Piscataway or Warren townships in the near future.

 

Essential Functions:

 Continually prospect for new customers through ongoing creative, organized, targeted lead generation activities. Manage day to day operations of the business. Typically will Manage approximately 30 - 50+ accounts. Assess and identify customer needs, effectively handle objections, close sales. Develop and manages ongoing lead/accounts pipeline. Cultivate relationships, laterally and above the primary contact. Provides management with daily updates on sales, weekly/monthly forecast and pipeline report.

 

 

Qualifications:

 Must have a BS/MS in Electronics or BS in Electronics and MBA.Must have minimum 3-4 years of experience in managing sales team for an electronic components manufacturer/distributor.Will also consider fresh MBA grads with science background and good GPA.Has a demonstrated history of exceeding sales goals.
