Basler Electric, serving the world market with power systems, control devices, and magnetic products for the past 64 years, is currently searching for an Calibration Lab Technician. This position will be located at our Corporate Headquarters in Highland, Illinois (approximately 30 miles east of St. Louis, MO).

 

JOB SUMMARY:  Performs calibration of electrical and mechanical test equipment.  Builds test fixtures and new test equipment.  Repairs test equipment and fixtures.

 

REPORTS TO:  Quality Engineering Manager

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

? Performs calibrations, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on test equipment (electrical and mechanical) located at all Basler facilities.

? Builds, repairs, and maintains new test equipment and fixtures as needed to support new product release.

? Identifies proper calibration procedures and methods.

? Reviews existing test equipment to identify obsolete items that need to be replaced.



  REQUIREMENTS: 

? Associates degree in electronics or equivalent experience. 

? Two years of experience as a technician.  One year of experience in a calibration lab preferred. 

? Knowledge of digital and analog circuitry and ability to build test equipment from schematics.  

? Ability to operate drill press and other hand tools needed to build test equipment. 

? Ability to use a computer.  Familiarity with MSWord, Excel, and Access desired.
