Responsible for the testing, troubleshooting, alignment, maintaining, integration and repair of camera and video equipment. Tasks are geared towards maintenance of existing equipment and manufacture of new devices. Equipment is used for providing wireless video and audio for live television broadcasts.

 

The ideal candidate is positive and results oriented, with a degree, certificate and/or equivalent training in an electronics related field.  Must have ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with rapidly changing demands.

 

 

Requirements

 

? Minimum of two years experience with component level trouble shooting.

? Ability to travel up to 50%

? Ability to read schematics and assembly drawings

? Knowledge of video signals and test patterns

? Knowledge of:  Vector,  Waveform, Multi-meter, Oscilloscope, Soldering equipmentResponsibilities

 Repairs, calibrates and cleans all camera systemsTroubleshoots camera system failures to the component levelWorks with other camera technicians to fulfill weekly camera requirements Takes direction from camera shop supervisor on various BSI camera systems tasksMaintains an operational test bench with various test equipmentMaintains a clean work environmentSolders various surface mount and thru-hole componentsDiagnoses potential causes of camera equipment malfunction using knowledge of equipment and/or technical drawings.Repairs, cleans, and replaces broken optics
