POSITIONS ARE LOCATED IN SOUTHWEST MPLS SUBURB AND 40 MINUTES WEST OF METRO.

 

POSITIONS WEST OF METRO-southwest Wright countyControls Engineer-4+ years of machine automation electrical/controls design experienceExperience in Allen Bradley PLC's and HMI Programming required as well as electrical systems/panel design using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.Other PLC's and HMI experience is a definate plus.This position does require some travel (average 1-2 days ever other month)This position is a permanent positionEntry-Level Controls Engineer/Senior Tech - Entry-level Controls Engineer or experience Controls TechnicianThis position will require more travel than the Sr. Controls EngineerExperience and/or training in Allen Bradley PLC's, HMI programming and Machine automation strongly preferred.  Applicants must have good understanding of PLC's as they relate to automation equipment.

 

POSITION IN EDEN PRAIRIE-Full-time Permanent Position

Basic objective


The Controls Engineer is responsible for leading as well as performing the development of high quality and reliable industrial control systems.  This individual will identify and deploy the appropriate hardware and software for BOC standard-product control systems as well as customized control systems.  Key tasks include network design utilizing a variety of protocols, hardware selection, software design/code/test, and system testing.  The Controls Engineer also assists with troubleshooting and issue resolution on the production floor and on-site with existing customer and installed equipment. Software design/code/test duties include PLC and SCADA software.  The ideal candidate will be proficient in both PLC and SCADA software development.

Experience required

The candidate should have more than five years experience developing industrial control systems and programming PLC?s and/or SCADA.  This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.  The candidate should also be proficient with structured software engineering practices, such as the SEI model.  Candidate should also have experience with standard and electronic test equipment, computer hardware, as well as network architecture.
