Electronic Hardware Design Engineer Broadcast Multimedia

Produces analog and/or digital video board designs, layouts and modifications.  Verify designs and layouts.  Prepares documentation for manufacturing.  Supports the design team.  Develop digital and/or analog video board architecture and design by developing product concept, researching, analyzing, selecting and applying design concepts, approaches, techniques and criteria.  Adapting and modifying board design, alternative architectures, developing and evaluating new analog/digital architectures and algorithms, defining functionality and requirement specifications.  Developing board layout including size, performance, power consumption and cost.  Establishing integrations, preparing drawings, schematics and diagrams.  Collaborating with related board design teams, evaluating components, materials, and suppliers.  Identifying and resolving design integration/interface issues, determining and establishing design specifications and safety standards.

 

Skills

Strong Hardware Design Skills

Knowledge of analog digital video signals

Knowledge of PROTEL or similar PCB design applications

Strong embedded software programming (C/C++) skills

Knowledge and understanding of Micro-controllers

Hardware engineering fundamentals and hardware specifications
