Summary
Salary position
The selected candidate will assist in the development and specification of USM's electronic and electrical component repair and test laboratory. Will be expected to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair failed components; as well as, test repairs to ensure success in the field. Will analyze component failures prior to sending to outside facilities for repair. Focus will be on machine uptime and corporate savings goals. Assist with identifying root cause of failures in developing measures to prevent re-occurrence.
Conduct research and development activities associated with design and testing of control circuts, power requirements, programmable controls, and hydraulic & pneumatic systems.Contact vendors to specify equipment and parts necessary to test and repair electrical components. Familiarity with diagnostic and repair of a variety of components including, but not limited to: circuit boards, power supplies, servo amplifiers, drive modules, encoders, panel view controllers, robotic teach pendant, signal conditioners, and more.
Requirements
Associates degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years electrical component repair
Ability to read electrical schematics and circuit diagrams
knowledge of electrical wiring and circuit design
Effective communication and organization skills
Proven knowledge of problem solving techniques and diagnostic methodologies.
Must have excellant attendance and work ethic.
