Electrical Technician (06-047)

Position is responsible for assembly and verification of prototype hardware for the purpose of design verification, troubleshooting and maintenance of prototype and development hardware, and the documentation and release of product control documents. The position is also responsible for performing a wide variety of routine test, experiments, and analysis as outlined by the supervisor or engineering personnel, ensuring that all results are carefully recorded in a manner consistent with established procedures. Sets up and operates various testing and measuring equipment required to complete work assignments. Uses other standard equipment and/or may work with new machines or standard machines with modifications developed for a particular experiment. May order and maintain supplies of materials, hardware, and equipment.Qualifications: Associate degree from an accredited technical vocational school. Background and experience in product testing environment is expected. Some coursework in testing and measurement is also required. Attention to protocol, detail and the recording of results. Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve problems of basic scope and complexity with minimum supervision and direction. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. also required.
