Electrical Technician

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Under the supervision of Project Manager & Equipment Engineer, Responsible for Layout, Assembly, Installing, Troubleshooting and Repairing of Electrical Machine Control Panel Assemblies.
* Work from detailed schematics, drawings, BOM?s and other manufacturing documentation as required.
* Prepares bill of electrical material; purchase material for emergency or routine projects; maintain and account for spare electrical parts and materials
* Work directly with Management, Project Engineers and Software Engineer to develop and/or modify electrical control systems for thermal batch processing equipment.
* Provide existing product line support in design activities and/or modification of hardware or electrical control systems in production.
* Hands-on testing required during prototyping and start-up.
* Perform troubleshooting on new and existing systems.
* Utilizes expansive knowledge and abilities to work on assignments that are non-routine in nature and where no established procedures may exist.
* Assignments are moderately complex and require use of initiative and sound judgment.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Associates or Technical Degree preferred
* Two years experience with Allen Bradley Ladder Logic programming to include RSLogix. Formal Training & Certification preferred
* Experience in the installation of Electric Motors, Transformers, Starters, Contactors, Relays, Push Buttons, Pilot Lights, Pressure Transmitters, Thermocouples, RTD?s, PLC Racks. ? 3 years experience required.
* Thorough Knowledge of various phases and amperages including 480VAC-3PH, 120VAC, Low VDC
* Strong Mechanical and Assembly Skills
* Experience in the use of Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Calibration Equipment,
* Electronic equipment and controls experience desired.
* Electro-mechanical, Hydraulic, & Pneumatic Equipment Installation & Troubleshooting Experience Required.
* Knowledge of National Electric Code, local codes, OSHA, DOT, and regulations of other federal and state agencies as required by geographical locations.
* Basic software knowledge required.
* Good communication skills required
* Some Project Management Experience desired
* Microsoft Office proficiency required
* Aerospace industry, electronic equipment and controls experience desired
* Familiarity with Basic Electrical Theory
* Flexibility to work Overtime is Required.
* Regular Attendance is Required to perform the position?s essential job responsibilities.
* Up to 10% travel may be required.
