Electrical Technician - Level 1

Job Description:

 

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for testing of new cellular phone accessories.  Testing will involve electrical and physical inspection per product specifications. The technician will provide feedback to the engineers and product managers on product performance.  You will be responsible for generating test reports of the different products that are tested. You will provide assistance to product engineers in re-engineering current and new products to improve functionality and that engineering criteria reflects the customer?s specifications.  The position reports to the Engineering Manager.

Position Functions:

 Testing power products and other cell phone accessories such as cases & holster; faceplates; headsets; antennas in accordance with regulatory, customer and corporate requirements. Generate test reports for different products being tested. Assist engineers with hands on design and prototype development. Provide support to the quality assurance in determining failure analysis  investigations and reports.Continuous discovery of product improvement and product development processes. Responsible for conducting all relevant aspects of new or existing product development opportunities. Oversee testing, materials research of new & existing vendor relationships and any significant process development.

?  Keep proper inventory of components use for product development

?  Maintain the engineering laboratory as far as inventory and upkeep. 

 



Job Requirements:



 

?  The successful candidate will be a well-organized and self-motivated individual who works well with others.

?  Must be proficient in Microsoft office.

?  Will possess experiences in testing methodologies used in electronic products.

?  This position requires an equivalent and/or minimum of 3 years experience solving complex technical problems as a technician.  

?  Strong understanding and experience with AC and DC circuits.

?  Extensive experience in hands-on debug and optimization of printed circuit boards

?  The ability to read and interpret both electronic schematics and assembly level drawings.

?  Ability to use standard lab test equipment proficiently, such analog and digital oscilloscopes, and DMM's.

?  Experience in complex soldering and de-soldering operations.

?  Knowledge in SolidWorks 3D modeling is a plus

?  Able to work with minimum supervision.
