The Burlington Massachusetts location is a small but growing manufacturing facility and is in need of an Electro-Mechanical Technician. POSITION

As an Electro-Mechanical Technician you must be skilled in the assembly of mechanical assemblies and electrical/electronic components. Must have broad general knowledge that includes:

? Building complex mechanical assemblies which include stepper motors, power supplies, thermocouples and heaters.
? The ability to read both electrical and mechanical schematics
? Have knowledge of and be able to use testing equipment such as multi meters, data loggers, oscilloscopes ect. to perform simple debugging of mechanical assemblies and electronics
? Have experience in point to point wiring
? Have an understanding of common methods for temperature measurement (Thermocouples) and wiring practices

In addition, the successful candidate must be able to physically perform all required tasks which will include some heavy lifting. Be able to communicate effectively in written and oral form. Be a self starter requiring minimal supervision. Be detailed oriented with attention to quality of all tasks performed. Work well with other technicians and engineers. Show initiative to increase knowledge and grow with the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Eletro-Mechanical Technician will be responsible for building both the mechanical assemblies and installing all electrical components for the various products manufactured by NETZSCH Instruments. Be responsible for finishing all tasks according to shipping schedules. Be responsible for meeting the high standards of quality required for all our products. Be responsible for keeping their work area clean and orderly and perform all work in conformance with safe work practices.

PRE-REQUISITES

The successful candidate must have a high school diploma plus a two year degree from a technical school or college. Education with an emphasis in electrical, mechanical or other relevant technical disciplines is a must. Candidates with at least 3 years experience in industrial production will be considered first; however, candidates looking for an entry level position that have sufficient education may be considered. Must show proven ability to read blue prints and schematics, comprehend technical operating manuals and basic knowledge of trouble shooting processes. Basic knowledge of heat transfer and thermodynamics is a definite plus.
