Electronic Technician I

ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN I
Sigma-Aldrich Corporation, a leading Life Sciences and high Technology company, has an immediate opening for an Electronics Technician I for our Calibration Department.

Job duties: installation, repair, and calibration of analytical devices and process instrumentation; PLC troubleshooting; and minor electrical repairs.

Requirements for this position include:
High School diploma and Associates Degree in Control Systems Technology, Electronics, or equivalent.
Familiarization with calibration/metrology procedures and practices.
Proficient hands-on knowledge of process instrumentation and controls.
Personal computer literate.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Valid drivers license.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years industrial instrumentation experience.
Experience in the following areas will be helpful but are not required: cGMP regulations, laboratory or analytical equipment repairs, PLC programming, DCS systems.

Shift work and/or On-Call work may be required.
