Electronic Test Supervisor and Technicians

PDSi provides products and technical services, encompassing the development and production of embedded (built-in) or stand alone computer systems and components, and the testing and repair of computer systems, components and peripherals, to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in the aerospace, computer, computer peripheral, data storage, digital-imaging, medical diagnostic, process-control, and telecommunications equipment industries. Our products range from complete integrated systems with high availability and sophisticated fail-over capabilities to individual single board computers. Services range from technical consulting to depot repair to global logistics programs for our OEM customer base. We offer our customers value in every phase of the product/service lifecycle.

We are in search of an Electronic Test Supervisor and several Electronic Technicians  from entry level to experienced level whose responsibilities will include;

? Perform electronic and/or electromechanical assembly work of moderate complexity in a wide variety of operations.

? Work requires manipulative skill of high level using a wide variety of hand tools and simple test equipment.

? Work with parts or components that require special care in handling.

? Test complex electronic commercial or custom systems with the aid of procedures or verbal instructions.

? Complete and inspect product and repair tags to QA standards.

? Assemble hardware on printed circuit boards and complete system builds.

? Make minor modifications and parts substitutions in the assembly process.

? Follow procedures and diagrams in performing engineering change orders as required.

? Solder through hole and surface mount device components on printed circuit boards.

? De-solder electronic components from printed circuit boards.

? Solder and de-solder BGA components on printed circuit boards; reball BGA chips as required.

? Solder and desolder BGA components on printed circuit boards; reball BGA chips

? Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest changes.

? Comply with all applicable PDSi quality system requirements.

? Work with and have functional knowledge of computer data entry, customer requirements/specification and other applicable quality requirements.

? Document work performed on shop paperwork or in electronic database.

? Primarily interfaces with department technicians and supervisors.

 

Education/Experience: 

  Candidates for the electronic test supervisor must have previous supervisory experience.  Entry level positions will be considered if currently enrolled in a certified electronics program of study. Associates degree in electronics required for other positions.  Previous surface mount soldering experience a plus.
