Manufacturer of welding controls seeks qualified Electrical Engineer to design Power electronic converters and embedded microcontrollers/microprocessors electronic controllers for Industrial Welding Controls.? Engineer will develop and/or modify software, design circuits that use micro-controllers and peripheral components, create analog designs and integrate designs into micro-controllers designs. Candidate must have the ability to design logic systems for sequence and timing of controller for high current solid-state electronic systems in welding equipment.? Reviews schematics with customer.? Be able to alter designs to conform to customer specifications.? Engineer will provide supervision in the maintenance, repair, and operation of installed equipment in field installations.? Engineer will design new prototype systems utilizing latest technology, specifically CAD CAM software and computer hardware.? Minimum educational requirement:? B.S.E.E., 1 year as Elect. Eng. or 3 yrs. Exp. as researcher in Electrical Engineer Specialty.? Require 1-year experience with Power Electronics converters and components (SCR?s, IGBT?s and power capacitors).
