INSTALLATION / SERVICE TECHNICIANS

 

Comtel Systems Technology, Inc. is a Santa Clara based Systems Integrator of High-end Security, Card Access, CCTV, Communications, and Nurse Call Systems in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Comtel is actively interviewing perspective Installation and Service Technicians to fill currently open positions.  Comtel provides a positive work environment with rapid growth potential for demonstrated performance.

 

JOB INFORMATION:

 

Type:  Full Time

 

Status:  Non-exempt (Hourly)

 

Normal Work Days: Monday through Friday

 

Normal Work Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Overtime may be required)

 

Salary Range:  $25.72/hr. to $32.05/hr.+ (Depending on Experience / Training)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

Service Technician:

 

?  4+ years experience as a technician working on Integrated Systems OR equivalent technical training.

?  An Associates Degree in Electronics Computers OR proven experience attained through on the job training.

 

Course studies should include:

 

1.  AC/DC Theory and Digital Principles

2.  Basic Computer Hardware and Peripherals

3.  All Current Microsoft Windows Operating Systems

4.  Basic Network Systems

 

?  Ability to trouble-shoot electronic equipment to board level in the field

Installation Technician:

 

?  2+ years experience installing Integrated Systems OR equivalent technical training.

?  Ability to supervise others in the completion of installations under pre-defined work-scope and project scheduling time constraints.

?  Experience in the safe use of power tools, ladders, and trade related equipment.

?  Ability to read and understand blueprints and related construction documents.

?  Knowledge of basic electrical and building codes.

 

Both Positions:

 

?  Good Electro-Mechanical Fabrication Skills

?  Good Oral and Written Communication Skills

?  Good People and Customer Service Skills

?  Good Organizational and Time Management Skills

?  Self-Motivated and Able to Work with Minimal Supervision

?  Clean Driving Record

?  Familiarity with Software House, GE Infographic, Ultrak, Radionics, Pelco, Kalatel, and Rauland Borg Equipment is a plus.
