Manufactruing Engineer

Support New Product Development activities into production. Develop the manufacturing process and documentation for successful scale up into production. Strong project management skills working with cross functional teams often involving locations abroad.

Responsibilities will include:
Develop new processes to support new products. Implement process modifications for flexibility, cost reduction, cycle time reduction or capacity increases. Justify and implement Capital projects.
Project manage new products into various internal manufacturing locations or suppliers. Understand business justifications.
Develop an understanding of the existing Products and Processes of Tyco Electronics

 

5 plus years in a manufacturing environment, in Engineering functions.
Bachelor of Science or higher.
Knowledge of polymer properties and processing.
Experienced project leader.
Risk assessments.
Failure Modes and Effect Analysis [FMEA].
Six Sigma process.
