Manufacturing Electronics Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

? Assemble, modify and repair electronic assemblies or systems.

? Interpret Bill of Material (BOM) documentation and written assembly, modification or repair instructions.

? Assemble and inspect components and completed systems in accordance with written or verbal instructions.

? Work with engineers and other technicians to correct and improve electronic systems documentation.

 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements



EDUCATION:  2-year Associate Degree in Electronics or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of hands on experience in the electronics manufacturing, or research and development.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions



? Knowledge of mechanical methods, fastening hardware, and assembly machine tools.

? Familiarity with computers and keyboard skills.

? Skilled in wiring and soldering electronics assemblies.

? Skilled in using various hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, wire cutters, etc.

? Skilled in reading and interpreting electronics assembly drawings and BOM?s

? Ability to communicate assembly concepts clearly both orally and in writing.

? Ability to perform work at sustained pace with high degree of accuracy; ability to inspect own work and that of others.
