Two Openings: Both require similar type of background and experience.  Manufacturing Engineer spends more time on process and production, while Project Engineer spends more time with customers.

Overview:

A strong growing Contract Electronics Manufacturing Service company is seeking experienced, energetic applicants for one Manufacturing Engineer and one Project Engineer. Both positions are newly created.

The company is a ?low-volume quick-turn high-reliability? custom PCB house. Based on customers? specifications/orders, the company builds printed circuit boards from bare boards and components, utilizing pick-and-place SMT machines as well as highly qualified technicians. Experienced technicians do the inspections, reworking and testing. The company has a reputable business history and enjoys the benefits of many repeat customers.

Applicants must have the ability to make decisions independently, perform multiple, prioritized tasks simultaneously, be organized and detail-oriented. 

Common Qualifications: (Required)Minimum five years experience in printed circuit board manufacturing environment. Both SMT & Thru-hole.Experience with SMT, Through-hole, Box Build, Prototype, Medical. Knowledgeable of IPC, ISO and MIL Standards. Preparation of Travelers, BOM?s, Assembly Aids, Manufacturing Method and Process Procedures.PC literate. Excellent communication skills within the organization.

Qualifications: (Manufacturing Engineer)Knowledge of SPC methods, process capability and FMEA.Experience with Fuji (or equivalent) SMT equipment, wave soldering machine, conformal coating, hand soldering. Stencil order and specifications, tooling and fixture design.Experience with Conformal Coating, bonding and encapsulation processes.Experience in monitoring and improving process & product Quality.Familiar with industry shift to lead-free technology.Knowledge of lean manufacturing and six-sigma.

Qualifications: (Project Engineer)Interface with other departments on quotation, BOM, materials, parts delivery, quality, schedule, cost and technical issues.Extensive communications with customers on project status, progress, issues, changes. Excellent communications skills (oral/written) at all levels within the organization and with customers, with a high level of technical competency.

Responsibilities: (Manufacturing engineer)Prepare and maintain assembly aids using Circuit Cam, Visio and other Illustrative meansMonitor and continually improve the quality of manufacturing processes Support Continual Process Improvement Projects, Cell manufacturing, and Lean Manufacturing conceptsDevelop and maintain Travelers, ECO?s, Manufacturing methods and process procedures Interface with Quality Engineering to ensure process integrity. Prepare labor cost estimates, rework cost estimates, and manufacturing cost reduction plans. Provide technical expertise to production personnel, and assist supervisors and leads on manufacturing methods, procedures and new products introduction Assist customers with design for manufacturability, design for testability and PCB design and fabrication.Responsible for overall production processes and reports to Production Manager. Other duties and responsibilities as required

Responsibilities: (Project Engineer)Interface with internal departments to assure component procurement, assembly and delivery of products in a timely manner.Interface with customers on the status of production and delivery of products.Resolve customers? technical problems and changes, and parts shortages.Acts as communication link between company and customers.Responsible for the successful completion of projects from conception to delivery and acceptance.
