Manufacturing Engineer (degreed) Manf Tech (non-degreed)- Electronics (1040)

Description Provide Engineering support for automotive manufacturing facility.

Responsible to program, setup, operate and troubleshoot surface mount and through-hole technology machines and some manual PCB assembly. Support daily production operations. Setup line for products and troubleshoot defects. Monitor and maintain equipment to meet standards. Develop and follow preventative maintenance procedures for each machine. Train and evaluate others in SMT standards and procedures. Responsible for programming and maintenance of all manufacturing equipment, profiling of solder equipment, and creation of assembly instructions. Must interpret customer reqs, read and understand component datasheets, schematics, and fabrication drawings.

Responsible for leadership on leading edge technologies with all soldering and associated assembly processes, ranging from new product process design to successful ramp up of volume production. Support of volume manufacturing sites on processing problems will be required.

 Required Skills

BS EE or Electronics related degree preferred but not required. SMT placement experience (Panasonic and / or Assembleon / Phillips). Panasonic programming experience required. Other experience as listed is a plus: Automated vision inspection experience (Omron). Screen print, reflow and selective solder experience. ICT and functional test experience. Program management experience. Understand drawings, bills of materials, and CAD data. Familiar with standard SMT and THT practices and procedures, IPC and JEDEC standards (prefer certification). Basic understanding of ESD compliance and 5S.
