Praxair Electronics (PE), a global $500+ million division of Praxair, Inc., is a supplier of gases, materials, equipment, and services to the semiconductor industry. We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician in ORANGEBURG, NY.

You will be responsible for conducting manufacturing engineering projects to optimize sputtering target manufacturing; preparing samples and measuring metallurgical, mechanical, chemical, and radioactive properties of pure metals and alloys; supporting manufacturing to increase quality, reduce cost, and shorten cycle time; building, operating, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment; establishing and maintaining manufacturing processes with vendors; helping customers to solve technical issues and document findings in reports; and working as a team with Manufacturing, Technology, Quality Assurance, Production Control, Facilities, and Safety.

To qualify, you must have 0-1 years experience in a manufacturing environment, and an Associate's Degree in science disciplines or certification from a technical school. Experience in metal fabrication processes, machinery, automatic control, metal machining and knowledge in metallurgy and engineering principles; in-depth understanding of mechanical, electrical, and computer systems a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a team player preferred.
