Job: Marine Electronic Technician (ID#: Mackay 057)
Location: Charleston, SC; New Orleans, LA; Houston, TX
Salary: $17.00 to $28.00/hr

Description:
Mackay Marine, a division of Mackay Communications, Inc., America?s leading high sea electronic company, is seeking marine electronic technicians.

Job tasks include:
Install, service and repair electronic equipment on board ships. Test, adjust and troubleshoot equipment components, PCBs, sub-assemblies, and antennas. Load, update, and modify software. Work from wiring diagrams, equipment drawings, schematics and/or manufacturer's manuals. Lay out, supervise, and assist in equipment installations. Prepare detailed service reports. Maintain tools, test equipment, etc. Generally operate in the field. Work under general supervision referring questionable or unusual cases to supervisor.

Qualifications:  Licenses required FCC license with radar endorsement. GMDSS Radio Operator Maintainer license
