Our client, an international supplier of electronics, electrical products and mechatronics to the automotive industry, is seeking to fill multiple positions in their Huntsville Facility. Software Engineers
In this position, you'll be involved with Software Engineering and development for embedded applications using 16 Bit microprocessors in automotive environment. Will maintain current and legacy programs written in C on multiple platforms. Write script files for universal test system currently being designed for use in hardware debugging of new products as well as warranty return. Opportunity to learn Drive Train electronics and software development for automotive. Assist in debug of hardware electronics.
Requirements: Must have 3+ C language programming experience. Familiar with debugging of C source and assembly language on embedded hardware. Familiar with using BDM and trace tools for hardware debugging. Assembly language experience a plus. Automotive experience a plus. CAN Communications experience a plus. Experience with Vector CAN tools a plus. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Software or Computer Engineering required.
Quality Consultant/Six Sigma Black Belt
Primary Functions: The Quality Consultant will support the Quality Improvement Team by providing a core expertise and actively supporting the use of various quality tools to reduce 0Km PPM, Customer Incidents, Warranty, Cost of Quality, Internal Process Issues, Scrap, and Rework.
Responsibilities:Core Team Member on the Quality Improvement Team Assist with trend and data analysis Provide training for quality tools and methodologies Facilitate problem solving activities Assist with the development of new or revised production procedures, control plans, PFMEA or other documentation
Qualifications: The candidate for this position must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Related BS degree with 3-5 years experience in Quality Improvement Activities for a component production facility, preferably automotive Tier I or Tier II facility. Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (may also consider Six Sigma Green Belt Candidate with demonstrated improvement results.) Practical experience in Problem Solving Tools and Six Sigma Methodology, Including DOE, Multi-Veri Studies, Fishbone Diagrams, Brainstorming Techniques, Cause and Effect Diagrams, 5 Why Analysis, Control/SPC Charts.
Test Systems Support Engineer - Automated Inspection Systems (vision)
Responsibilities:High level support of vision testers in assembly lines at both Huntsville facilities. Must diagnose system problems and recommend corrective actions to technical personnel. Set-up and debug of new vision systems prior to installation. Maintain a centralized automated data backup system for vision inspectors in both Huntsville facilities.(LINUX) Support of new vision system development. Maintaining adequate supply of spare parts. Implementation of Engineering Changes affecting products tested. Installation of new vision applications a they become available.(LINUX)
Self motivated EEs with a background in robotics, machine vision, and experience with UNIX and LINUX OS are best suited. Must be able and willing to work 2nd Shift.
Project Manager
Minimum Requirements: Strong team player, independent, self driven. Project management experience in electronics product development. Experience with applying PMI / PMBOK principles. Willing to travel 25%. Bachelor in engineering, science or business. Must demonstrated experience in risk management. Strong background in project plan development. Strong background in schedule development with MSProject. Customer management experience. Driven to meet due date, quality targets, and cost targets. Ability to coach team to meet project goals. International project scope experience (Mexico, China) and PMP certification preferred.
Responsibilities:
Ensure completion of product DFMEA and DVP&R. Ensure strict adherence to design change control and documentation. Manage all product sample developments, test reports, and releases. Manage the release of all product documentation. Definition and resolution of all product deviation issues. PPAP planning, performance and completion. Responsible for successful product launch at customer. Support Business Development and Key Account
Management for all customer quotations, engineering changes, and commercial negotiations. Develop strong working relationship with the project resident engineer to ensure solid communication between the project team and the customer. Support IP management to achieve optimal design communization and effective resource utilization across different projects.
Project Engineer / Sub Project Manager
Primary Functions: The Systems Engineer will be responsible for leading and coordinating the technical aspect of multi disciplinary Engineering Product Development activities for instrument clusters.
Primary Responsibilities
? Work intimately with Project Management to develop the plans for the overall product development activities, but with a special emphasis on the technical product portion.
? Together with engineering representatives from Software, Hardware and Mechanical Engineering, analyze customer and other requirements, as they pertain to the engineering effort and product, and develop detailed development plans of products from inception to volume production.
? In a proactive team environment, lead a multidisciplinary engineering team in the development of product concepts and designs based on the customer specifications and according to Siemens VDO standards.
? Take an active role in assisting the Project Manager for adherence to Siemens VDO PDLP, PRP and activities related to ensuring a continuously improved process.
? Monitor and assist Product Engineering with Design reviews and FMEA's.
? Facilitate accurate and timely flow of technical information through Project Manager to other development functions such as Purchasing, Quality, Logistics, Manufacturing, etc.
? Parallel to the Project Manager, coordinate technical aspects of potential engineering changes when requested directly from customers and/or stemming from internal requirements and sources.
? Help Project Manager define and understand development needs for prototype sample builds or limited production runs in preparation for volume production.
? In conjunction with the Project Manager, facilitate good contact between R&D Engineering and Resident Engineering for Light Measurements, Appearance Approvals and other customer related tasks and events.
? Assist in bridging potential gaps between System Validation, Project Management and any internal or external Verification / Validation functions.
? Close interaction with Siemens VDO industrialization and manufacturing functions in Mexico.
Qualifications
The candidate for this position should have at least a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited University or equivalent institution. However, a graduate degree is strongly preferred. It is also required that the candidate has at least 10 years of broad practical experience as individual contributor as well as team leader in consumer and/or automotive electronics product development. In addition, high motivation, teamwork, and good verbal/written communication skills are a must. Additional language skills such as Spanish and/or German would be beneficial.
Engineering Process Engineer
The ongoing integration of Electronics Manufacturing has highlighted the critical need to accelerate the discovery, analysis and development of suitable working instructions to document and guide the product development and production launch procedures as they relate to specifically to the Huntsville manufacturing location. BS Engineering and Business /Operations Management experience required.
