PRODUCTION TEST TECHNICIAN

POSITION PURPOSE: Perform a variety of routine tasks to ensure production test standards are met. Perform the testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of electronic control equipment at the PCB and system level using general test equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
? Test, repair and configuration of product as assigned.
? Ability to recognize failures and set-up problems, and determines need for appropriate verification.
? Ability to read and interpret schematics and understand circuit theory.
? Ability to follow test procedures as indicated.
? May provide input for designing, developing, improving and calibrating test and assembly fixtures.
? Complete Work Orders on time.
? Ensure on-going adherence to established quality standards.
? Ensure on time delivery of customer products by delivering goods to Shipping in a timely manner.
? And/or any other duties as assigned.
? Required to perform the job functions in a safe manner.

EQUIPMENT AND MATERIAL USED: Basic computer skills required such as MS Office. Familiar use of various hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, etc. Use of test equipment such as frequency generators, digital multimeter (DMM), and oscilloscope. Solder station and de-solder station.
Workspace is located within the Production Test area.
Position requires frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and reaching. Position is required to go to all areas of manufacturing and production test. Ability to lift 30 lbs.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES: Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job is acceptable. A typical way to obtain the
knowledge and abilities would be:
EDUCATION: Two-year degree in electronics or equivalent military training.
TYPE AND NUMBER OF YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Six months experience in an entry level testing position.
COMPETENCIES: Good written and verbal communication, detail oriented, ability to handle multiple tasks throughout the day, good time management skills.
