PRODUCT MANAGER

 

 

Projects Unlimited is a leading developer, manufacturer and supplier of quality audio devices and components including buzzers, alerts and transducers. Corporate offices, product development, engineering, sales and customer service are located in Dayton, Ohio. 

 

We have an immediate opportunity for a Program Manager.  We?re looking for the person who can plan, organize and control product lines from conceptual stages through product life cycle, optimizing profit and meeting marketing, financial, inventory and corporate growth objectives.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1.  Manage supplier relations for new product development, sample requests and quotations of specialty and new products.

2.  Participate in overall product strategy, research and development, development of the product, analysis of market research and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products.

3.  Assist in the development of ISO Vendor Quality System.

4.  Collaborate with sales, sales support, and customer service to develop and provide new product ideas for development.

5.  Provide financial and technical justification for product selection.

6.  Review product life cycle to ensure attainment of objectives.

7.  Maintain contact with overseas suppliers for sample requests and quotations for new and specialty products.

 

Candidate must have a Bachelor?s degree; MBA preferred; or five years related experience and/or training as a Material, Product or Contract Manager.  A technical background and offshore negotiations is a plus or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

This is a non-managerial position.  Relocation assistance is not available; only local candidates will be considered.
