Production Planner

Our client in Woodbridge, NJ is seeking a contract-to-hire Production Planner.  Position description as follows:

Create and maintain a structured Bill of Materials (BOM) for the Product Line.  Assist in the Procurement of Material to support Product Construction and Fleet Service.

? Maintain a structured Bill of Materials (BOM) for the Product within SAP.

? Populate the BOM with needed geometric and assembly information.

? Create and maintain geometry definition of the product and store in a revision controlled system.

? Interface with Projects and Sales Team to provide the necessary cost and product information from SAP.

? Identify the options or choices between system and overall control of qualified source of supply.  Manage the revision control of allowed configurations.

? Create Balance of Plant BOM with input from the Project Application Engineers.

? Develop and execute the process for tying current drawings to Material Master Numbers for proper archiving.

? Support delivery of new equipment with release of BOM to satisfy the Contract Requirements and interface with Projects to provide Customer answers to information requests during delivery and commissioning.

 

Required Skills:

  AAS Mechanics or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering; BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering desired.

?  User experience creating Product Configuration.

?  Prior experience or course work in Digital System configuration / Use for Product Configuration Control and Delivery.

?  SAP experience preferred (creation & executing BOM, purchase requisitions, issue of material)

?  3 - 5 years experience with Product Configuration preparation and Customer Interface preferred.

?  Proposal Preparation, Manufacturing Floor or Field Installation Experience using a digital control system preferred.

?  Ability to prioritize multiple priorities and tasks
