OUR POSITION:
We are currently seeking a Radio Communications Technician to provide Land Mobile Radio support. The individual will test, repair, align, and install portable radios, handheld radios, mobile radios, base stations, repeaters, consoles, encryption devices, voters, cellular phones, pagers, video equipment, and other wireless technology and devices.
YOU MUST MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED:
*Must be able to successfully pass a DOD background security investigation and background check and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
*At least 5 years experience in the field of electronics, with experience in communications systems and subsystems, point-to-point systems, signal coding and modulation, digital radio/communications technology, communication networks, data links, and digital radio.
*Demonstrated general knowledge of radio including RF transmitters and receivers, modulation techniques, and antennas.
*Proficiency with computer-based applications.
*An Associates Degree in communications/electronic technology or 3 years equivalent experience. Additional education may be considered in lieu of work experience.
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to walk, talk, hear, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The individual may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. This job involves occasional taste or smell and use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
