Central Semiconductor supplies leading edge discrete semiconductors for the hottest high-tech products, from MP3 players and laptop computers to bar code scanners and cell phones.  At the same time, Central continues to manufacture older technology devices still needed by many manufacturers of products with long life cycles.  To suit varying applications, products are available in three formats: leaded, surface mount, and chip form.  Central produces a wide range of standard devices, but excels in custom, special, and other niche products.  New products are constantly being designed, developed, and brought to market.

 

Central Semiconductor is currently seeking a seasoned Sales Manager to lead worldwide sales efforts at the Hauppauge, NY corporate headquarters.

 

The ideal candidate will direct and coordinate the North American sales activities of an inside sales staff and outside representatives serving OEMs and contract manufacturers, as well as the Export sales activities of an inside international sales staff and global distributors and representatives.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

 

a.  Performs all necessary supervisory functions to effectively manage subordinate personnel and drive sales results including accountability for developing new business, meeting sales quotas, goals, and objectives.

b.  Develops and effectively carries out global sales implementation plans in line with corporate goals and objectives.

c.  Works with Marketing Manager to develop product marketing strategies for all sales channels and territories.

d.  Analyzes and monitors expenditures and activities of OEM Sales, Export, and Distribution departments, to ensure conformance with budgetary requirements, company policy, etc.

e.  Represents Central Semiconductor at trade shows and visits existing and potential customers, representatives, and distributors.

 

The ideal applicant should possess the following:

 BSEE degree is preferred with 10+ years minimum experience in a Sales Management capacity, managing an inside sales force and outside representative/distributor force.  A minimum of 10 years experience selling and promoting electronic components in the semiconductor industry; or equivalent combination experience and training is essential.  10+ years experience selling and promoting discrete semiconductors and experience with ISO9001:2000 are all preferred.
