Security & Fire Alarm Technicians/Installers/Foremen

ARK Systems, Inc., has been providing superior service to our valued customers since 1973. We specialize in the systems integration of fire, security, sound, video, voice, and data systems. Due to our rapid growth, we are currently seeking experienced Fire & Security Install Technicians, Install Foremen and Installers for the Baltimore Metropolitan area. Qualified candidates will have previous experience in the commercial life safety industry and formal electronics training.  Pay is commensurate with experience.

Technicians

This position is responsible for installing, wiring, programming and testing fire systems, security systems, card access, door entry, paging/sound, and other electronic systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
?Coordinates daily scheduling with customer on-site.

.Communicates with ARK team members to effectively pursue company goals and criteria of installing alarm systems according to acceptable standards and practices.
?Lays out entire project on site meeting critical milestones as required.
?Performs troubleshooting and service work.
?Terminates devices and panel wiring.

 

Install Foreman

Provides on-site management and supervision of turnkey installation projects. Responsible for completion of project on schedule, meeting specifications and assuring customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
?Coordinates daily scheduling with customer on-site.

.Daily communication with project manager to resolve problems and discuss job status. 
?Supervises employees including job detail and performance issues.
?Lays out cabling routing, support and device locations.
?Manages materials and equipment on site.
?Motivates subordinates and sets pace of job. Builds a team effort.
?Directs all customer requested changes to the appropriate responsible person.

Installer

This position is responsible for installing, wiring, programming and testing electronic systems including fire, security, card access, door entry, and paging/sound systems. May act as the team leader with the installer crew.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
?Pulls cables, mounts panels and back boxes.

.Communicates with customer concerning the importance, operation and status of their life safety system.
?Runs conduits and wire mold.
?Mounts field devices.
?Roughs in jobs and cuts in boxes.

Candidates for ALL positions must maintain good driving record (insurable through our insurance carrier) for driving to/from job sites.

Successful candidates for these positions will have field experience in the commercial alarm industry. All candidates must have the ability to obtain a Maryland and Virginia security technician license, knowledge of NFPA codes, and excellent customer service skills. Competent computer skills required, plus degree in electronics or equivalent technical school. NICET certification a plus!
