Senior Mechanical Engineer - Plastic Components

Currently, we have an opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer ? Plastic Enclosures in our Rocklin, CA location.

 

BSME or MSME and 5+years relevant experience.

 

Experience in mechanical design and analysis of electronic enclosure parts and subassemblies.

 

Plastic electronic enclosure design considerations (thermal management, EMI, ESD, component interferences, etc).

 

Skills with 3D solid modeling software (Pro/ENGINEER strongly preferred).

 

Experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes and design constraints for common manufacturing processes such as polymer part design (injection molding, blow molding, vacuum forming, etc.).

 

Product qualification and agency requirements (UL, FCC, CE, etc.)

 

Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) for high volume products.

 

Manufacturing process documentation (assembly or test procedures, etc.) AGILE experience preferred.

 

Design verification and validation, including environmental, and shock and vibration testing.

 

Effective communication and negotiation skills.

 

Must be able to travel internationally 10% of the time.
