Sr. Designer

  Designs or modifies exiting designs to develop or improve products or facilitate manufacturing operations.

 Determines design layout and preparation tasks for system integration projects, component configuration, electro-mechanical packaging, panel and control layouts, functional configuration, chassis and frame design.

 Gathers and analyzes information; makes studies and performs research regarding material or parts needed for design by using applicable handbook data and good working knowledge of available standard parts/components.

Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, tooling and equipment, interchangeability, replacability, and serviceability.

Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development.

 Make layouts and drawings to clarify completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculation and dimensions.

 

Associate?s Degree or equivalent with emphasis in drafting techniques and/or electronics or mechanics.  Minimum of eight (8) years drafting and design experience, including two (2) years experience with CAD design work.  Proficient in use of applicable CAD equipment.
