Sr. EDA Engineer, Extraction

 

Job Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for designing & developing an internal extraction tool and surrounding interfaces to ensure a cohesive system for timing closure.  Domain knowledge in the area of industry standard P&R tools is highly desirable with an understanding of overall physical design tools especially in areas of extraction algorithms.  Work will include research, design, specification, development, unit testing and support of all new features as well as maintaining existing code. This person will play a key role in developing process-aware DFM products and will drive the extraction system.  This person is responsible for developing state of the art solutions through technical contributions that lead to significant product differentiation and work with team members to develop, integrate, test and debug the product on schedule and with high quality.

 

Job Requirements:

Proficiency in algorithms, data structures and software engineering(especially in C++) are required. An MS/PhD in EE/CS with 5+ years of extraction work experience is a MUST. Experience in EDA software development, proficiency in algorithms, data structures, software engineering, and C/C++ coding skills, are required. Background in geometry processing is highly preferred. Prior experiences in OpenAccess and timing tools are highly desirable.
