Sr. SATCOM Engineer

In this Satellite Earth Terminal Products position, you will engineer projects related to portable and flyaway satellite communication earth terminals and networks, including design, evaluation, development, fabrication and testing.  You will perform original analysis, and design through completion, of SATCOM earth terminals and related hardware, components and parts in accordance with specifications covering C, X, Ku, Ka frequency bands.  You will evaluate and debug SATCOM earth terminals and related hardware and components ? baseband, IF and RF.  You will develop test programs for product evaluation and participate in conducting tests.  You will produce documentation for new products and check the accuracy of technical documentation.

 

You should have a BSEE (or the equivalent) and at least 5 years of experience with SATCOM earth terminal and related network, hardware and component design and developmentand and must have experience with RF measurements to Ka band and associated test equipment.You must be able to review, evaluate and produce verbal and written responses to customer requirements, documents, and requests for proposals and be able to exchange information and interface clearly, concisely and effectively with employees and customers both verbally and in writing.  You should be able to work independently and in a team environment, and be proficient a with Microsoft Office suite.  Knowledge or experience with IP-based equipment and networking is a significant plus.
