Focused on automating and streamlining the complete chip design process, our group creates and maintains advanced, highly parallel applications used by ARM engineers worldwide, from Austin, TX to Cambridge, UK and Sunnyvale, CA. We put cutting-edge Java tools and technologies to work in creating electronic design automation software to help maintain ARM?s position as the world?s leading designer of embedded microprocessors and physical IP. Key Responsibilities:

Work with the design methodology group and hardware implementation teams to define new areas for automation.Code new features and improvements for ARM?s internal design automation applications using Java, XML, JBuilder, and Eclipse.Create new unit tests using Java, XML and JTest.Review new Java technologies and how they might be leveraged in ARM?s automation suite.Help maintain and extend our automated Java build/check/test framework that supports our application development process.

 

Experience:

Qualified candidates should have:Applications programming experience in Java.Good background in object-oriented programming.Experience working with Unix and Windows XP.

Ideal candidates should also have:Experience with other languages such as C++ and Perl.Experience with compiler generators, especially object-oriented ones like ANTLR.Experience with hardware description languages such as Verilog, and engineering CAD file formats like DEF, GDSII, and Liberty.

 

Education:At least a BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
