Supplier Quality Engineer - Rigid PCB's

MC ASSEMBLY is a national leader in the contract manufacturing industry. We provide turnkey solutions to the original equipment manufacturer that can reduce cost, increase quality, and maintain product availability. MC ASSEMBLY was founded in 1984 as a bare PCB test facility. The company expanded into ATE test fixture fabrication in 1986, and finally into contract manufacturing in 1989. The bare PCB test portion of the business was subsequently sold and fixture fabrication has since been eliminated.

MC ASSEMBLY is located on Florida's East Coast, in Melbourne, approximately sixty miles east of Orlando. We currently employ approximately 1000 people and operate from our 235,000 square foot facility in Palm Bay Florida. We also employ 250 people in our 65,000 square foot facility in Zacatecas, Mexico.

The current position requires a four-year technical degree with a minimum of four years of Supplier Quality Engineering or Engineering discipline directly related to rigid printed circuit board manufacturing. The selected candidate must have a solid working knowledge and experience in the areas of IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, IPC-6012 and all other rigid printed circuit board industry specifications as applicable. A current certification in IPC-A-600 is highly desirable for this position. The selected candidate must be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Products to include Word and Excel. The candidate must be able to compile statistical and historical information to generate measurements and reports that will lead towards continuous improvement and supplier measurement. One of the major requirements is excellent verbal and written communications skills, and supporting a team player attitude with supplier, customers, and internal relationships at all levels. The ability to work within a high velocity contract-manufacturing environment is crucial to this position.In this position the selected candidate will be responsible for the effective management of all rigid printed circuit board suppliers both domestic and internationally. This individual will be directly involved in supplier qualification and selection process to include on-site audits. The Supplier Quality Engineer will work with the PCB commodity management team in both a strategic and tactical role. This person will be in a leadership role and be directly responsible for the identification of issues and continuous improvement opportunities identified within performance measurements.  This individual will assist in the training of Receiving Inspectors and participate in MRB actions. This position will require domestic and international travel in the performance of this critical role.
