Surgical Video Lab Technician

We have a current opening for a Surgical Video Lab Technician in our Greensboro North Carolina corporate office.

 

Qualifiications include an associates degree in electronics technology or electro-mechanical technology, or an equivalent combination of experience and training, and a minimum of one(1) year troubleshooting experience.

 

Duties and responsibilities, include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

 

1. Evaluate incoming repairs, complete repairs or determine to outsource.

2. Complete evaluations of purchases before bid.

3. Clean and verify operation of outgoing sales items before shipment.

4. Burn-in, repair and cosmetic improvement of stock items.

5. Provide customer support on compatibility issues.

6. Prepare loaners for customers.

7. Evaluate returned loaners.

8. Evaluate all outsource repairs after return from vendor.

9. Verify cables and accessories to be sent with sales.

10. Determine problems with systems to assist in proper solutions to customer problems.

11. Perform printed circuit board level repairs.

12. Prepare standard evaluation procedures for incoming items.

13. Determine best troubleshooting procedures and develop standardized processes.

14. Continue to improve test procedures to increase quality of outgoing product.

15. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.  Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

16. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

17. Perform other duties as assigned

18. Demonstrate teamwork through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.


Applicants should possess soldering proficiency with integrated circuitry, and specific experience in troubleshooting complex electronics equipment down to the component level.
