Technical Operations Manager

We are recruiting for Technical Operations Managers to add to our growing team to build and lead a team of 100+ technical repair associates for a new level II/ III repair operation of cell phones and oversee and direct department operations. Direct customer interface and responsibility.

 

Duties/Function: Build, staff and support new business technical repair initiative.Provide ?hands-on? technical support/leadership for cellular test and repair operationsMaintain current OEM certifications and training requirementsStay abreast of the latest cellular repair technology and industry best practices. Implement as appropriate Direction and control of production operations.Strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting for production operations.Resource allocation including personnel, equipment, and software. Continuous Process Improvement using Lean Six Sigma tools -time and motion, workflow, resource flow.   Creating measures and controls to ensure that performance standards (quality as well as productivity) and goals are met.Adaptation of processes to absorb new business.  Revenue growth through added-value/billable process creation. Cost control and analysis.  Staff development planning.  Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures.Communication and planning with employees, customers, vendors and executive management.Contribute to company overall strategies and goals, training program, succession planning, staff career path planning, policies, and procedures. 

 

Experience / Requirements:Bachelor?s degree in Electronics strongly preferred.   Previous technical training experience required Supervision ? 5 years 3 to 5 direct reports in manufacturing or high process-value added logistics.High degree of computer literacy including spreadsheet, graphing, presentation, word processing. Communication ? High degree of proficiency verbal and written including public presentation.English fluency.Familiar with ANSI/ASQ AQL sampling criteriaFamiliar with ISO 9001:2000 requirements Motorola, Nokia, LG level II or III cellular repair/technician experience/certifications strongly preferred.Prior start- up experience preferred.  Prior experience working in a continuous process improvement environment required.Intermediate to advanced experience level with MS Office Applications required. ORACLE ? WMS experience strongly preferred. Communicate and plan with peers and managers.

 

Physical Requirements:Walking or standing 20%.  Lifting up to 15 lbs.CRT exposure 70%
