Thermal Camera Systems Engineer and Manager

RedShift Systems (www.redshiftsystems.com) is a well-funded thermal imaging venture. RedShift is seeking an experienced thermal camera systems engineer to lead the design and development of a new generation of low cost LWIR camera systems. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that RedShift?s thermal camera meets demanding customer requirements.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience with the development of such systems having brought camera systems from concept through volume production. Specific experience in the areas of infrared system modeling, calibration, NUC, baseline / gain correction, image evaluation, system test and use of real-time feedback loops is required. RedShift is an exciting high-tech start-up developing a breakthrough thermal imaging technology.

Responsibilities
? Develop, maintain and allocate the system and subsystem designs and specifications
? Develop and maintain the end to end system performance model
? Lead system effort to test and present high quality LWIR imagery: calibration, non-uniformity correction, image enhancement and real-time camera control
? Aggressively drive the system towards cost and performance objectives over time. Successfully balance these and other competing objectives
? Lead a team of high-caliber electronics and image processing specialists. Determine resource gaps and drive staffing as needed
? Plan and maintain an on-time schedule for the development of the imaging system
? Lead design reviews and proactively communicate designs and test results. Act as a champion for the system and support securing additional resources, money or technology as required for success

Requirements
? 5-10 years industry experience in thermal imaging industry
? Must have lead, or been actively involved in, the development of similar systems for staring thermal imaging technology
? Expertise in the areas of signal processing and dynamic system control as applied to LWIR imaging systems
? Additional experience with visible imaging / optics is highly desirable
? High-volume production experience a plus
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Organized and disciplined systems engineering approach to development and documentation
? BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field
