Windows Driver and Applications Engineer

Wionics Research develops wireless integrated circuits products for advanced wireless applications. Our products include wireless local-area network (WLAN) integrated circuits for personal computer (PC) and home multimedia systems, highly integrated tuner circuits for cable set-top box, liquid crystal display (LCD) televisions, and high-definition television (HDTV), and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) integrated circuits for home multimedia applications.  Wionics Research is a subsidiary of Realtek Semiconductor Corporation, a public company based in Taiwan. We are seeking an experienced MS Windows Driver and Applications Engineer to program our next generation semiconductor products at our Irvine, California facility.

Responsibilities

* Design and Implement MS Windows Kernel drivers and GUI applications.

* Work with firmware and hardware engineers to define interfaces of communications between windows drivers and firmware.
*Extensive Windows testing, Certifications and follow-up with new developments with Microsoft.

Requirements 

*BSEE or equivalent required with at least 5 years of experience in MS Windows Kernel drivers and application development.

*Strong programming language skills.

*Familiarity with BUS driver?s design and development e.g. PCI, USB, SDIO drivers etc. is required. 

* Hands on experience in driver certifications, Win32 or MFC applications is a big plus.
