Provisioning Specialist

Individual must have 2-3 years experience developing provisioning databases using POWERLOG or similar software and creating provisioning reports to assist in acquisition of support items such as spares, repair parts, bulk material, tools and test equipment. Must be proficient with MS office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Project) Knowledge of U.S. military provisioning processes and procedures is preferred. (PowerLOG is designed to assist government agencies and their contractors in developing and integrating their supportability analysis data bases. It will load MIL-STD-1388-2B, Department of Defense (DoD) Requirements for a Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR), 2A LSA-036, 2B, LSA-036, and MIL-STD-1552 (PMR) data base formats. The primary purpose of this tool is Acquisition Logistics Data Management. Its sponsor is the U.S. Army Materiel Command (USAMC) Logistics Support Activity (LOGSA). The powerLOG is used throughout DOD by Acquisition Program Offices and associated government contractors.PowerLOG is a Client/Server and stand-alone Data Base Management System (DBMS). It's platform independent and relational database independent. PowerLOG- J satisfies logistics data management requirements including the Logistics Management Information Specification and MIL-STD-1388-2B. Currently, it manages technical data in the packaging, provisioning, task analysis, support equipment, reliability/availability/maintainability, skills, facilities, transportation, and operations and maintenance functional areas.
