We are helping our client conduct a confidential search for a VP of Operations to report directly to the CEO at their corporate office in Cincinnati.  Our client is a very successful full service staffing company with approximately 165 offices nationwide.  This position offers a lucrative base (up to $200k) and aggressive bonus plan with an additional 20-25% possible

 



Summary

 

Provides leadership, management, and vision ensuring proper operational controls, procedures, and systems are in place.  Directs operational initiatives to effectively grow business and ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.  Collaborates with senior management leading the organization toward achieving business and sales goals and objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties

 

1.  Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer to establish and accomplish organizational goals and objectives, as well as, strategic plans for the organization.

2.  Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer to optimize profitability in conjunction with short-term and long-term business strategies, goals, and objectives.

3.  Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations remaining aligned with the objectives and directives of the Chief Executive Officer.

4.  Provide leadership to management offering advice, guidance, and direction on business matters, including operational policies and procedures, new business initiatives, and management of existing client relationships. Foster a success-oriented and accountable environment.

5.  Develop plans for business expansion activities in conjunction with business maintenance and renewal of identified accounts. Identify opportunities to increase value added-services to client.

6.  Actively contribute to new business presentations where needed.

7.  Review and approve all client agreements and operating policies and procedures.

8.  Engineer the alignment of people, processes, policies, and assets to an optimal balance between the service offering and goals.

9.  Identify and implement change initiatives throughout the company that improve workflow and productivity.

10.  Facilitate the horizontal integration of communications between departments to remove obstacles, improve responsiveness, and facilitate prompt decision-making.

11.  Promote networking opportunities within the companies.

12.  Initiate and participate in strategic and tactical brainstorming sessions across all initiatives.

13.  Collaborate with management to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate rapid growth objectives.

14.  Review operating results, comparing with established objectives, and recommend appropriate measures to enhance outcome. 

15.  Manage and supervise senior regional leaders within the company. Collaborate with setting goals and objectives, monitor progress, assist with performance development, and measure job performance. Maintain open performance and development communication; encouraging growth.

16.  Perform other duties as required.

 Qualifications

 Must have Staffing Industry experience!!Bachelor?s degree required; graduate degree a plus.  Minimum 10 years prior management experience plus minimum 5 years service industry experience.Proficiency in areas of management and development. Must be highly motivated and able influence and motivate others. Ability to make sound judgments. Superior problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively & efficiently. Possess high-level ethics and integrity. Superior interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
