Asset Management Director
Director, Asset Management AES SeaWest, a leading wind energy company, located in Palm Springs, CA, is currently looking for a Director of Asset Management to work with site General Managers to manage the commercial aspects of the wind assets with a focus on the relevant contract administration. The relevant contracts include: Power Purchase Agreements, Service and Warranty Agreements, Land Lease Agreements, and Operations & Maintenance Agreements, etc.
Responsibilities
Ensure contractual compliance with respect to 3rd party and/or AES owned project agreements, Liaison with site General Managers and staff to manage daily obligations as project operator/owners representative, Provide and maintain clear lines of communication with internal and/or external project owners, advising on financial, project performance, regulatory and all other contractual related issues, Coordinate with the General Managers to review and approve all project accounting reports, Coordinate with the General Managers to review and approve all project related reporting, Maintain ongoing development of reporting systems for current and developing projects. Coordinate with banks, finance companies, equity owners and utility companies on behalf of the project owners, and Support development team on issues relating to future development opportunities.
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in asset management, preferably in the wind or electrical utilities area, or 5 years asset management experience with a degree in engineering or management with related experience, Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, Demonstrated ability to review, analyze and interpret contracts, operating statistics, procedures and financial reports, Demonstrated ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and co-workers, Proficiency in MS Office software, with advanced proficiency in Excel, Strong written and verbal communication skills, Ability to compose reports, business correspondence and financial reports, Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills, MBA preferred.
