CO2 Sales Manager, Emission Management

Shell Global Solutions is currently seeking a CO2 Sales Manager, Emission Management for its Houston, Texas location.

Responsibilities:

In this position, you will be responsible for identifying and developing CO2 sales from Shell & non-Shell sources and to coordinate the technology development programs to align business aspirations, market needs and technology roadmaps.

Key Accountabilities Include:
Developing CO2 sales from Shell & non-Shell sources, taking accountability and responsibility to identify viable projects
Managing the business development process on behalf of the clients
Coordinating the commercial input on R&D CO2 projects within GS, to ensure a fit with business aspirations and market needs
Supporting AEs in customer engagements and following up to deliver technical proposals to clients
Ensuring that GS identifies the key competitors and new technology opportunities in the market and positions itself to remain competitive within that arena
Advising the MSM for EM on strategic developments, technical and industry changes required maintaining market leadership
Developing and delivering integrated projects
Managing GS of GS CO2 technical development projects to meet business aspirations to contribute to Group CO2 targets of 117MT/yr in 2010
Managing multidisciplinary project delivery teams consisting of technical, consultancy, operational and/or commercial experts from GS, other parts of Shell and possibly external service providers
Recruiting and managing Industry Consultants
Working with different groups in GS, other parts of Shell and possibly external service providers in order to deliver an integrated solution that maximises the value to both Shell and the customer
Adopting an ?Enterprise First? approach will therefore be key to be successful in this role
Identifying new business opportunities and developing new approaches to help companies capture the opportunities associated with the transition to a low Carbon economy

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must possess a Master?s Degree, preferably Ph.D. in Chemistry or related areas, and have approximately 15 years in senior management business / technical positions from within the CO2 industry. You must have hands on experience of developing and negotiating multi million $ CO2 sales contracts. You must also have a solid technical background combined with operational experience.

Additional Requirements Included:
Demonstrated success in CO2 or related technology e.g. patents etc.
Deep knowledge of environmental legislation related to Climate change, Kyoto Protocol and CO2 legislation
Experience in developing complex integrated technical solutions, managing and delivering projects through strong project management principles
Knowledge of GS capabilities and CO2 technical programs and their potential value in the customer?s business
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to demonstrate project and process management abilities, with a commercially focussed approach
Practical work experience in the area of CO2 abatement projects, demonstrating the technologies applied, the timelines, and financial implications
Good networking and influencing skills to be able to pull together diverse GS capabilities
Tenacity and drive to make things happen in a timely fashion
