Shell Global Solutions is seeking a Catalytic Cracker Process Engineer for its Westhollow Technology Center facility located in Houston, Texas.


Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical services to the Shell Global Solutions customers.

You will provide trouble shooting services and assistance during turnarounds and start-ups. You will also contribute to monitoring and optimization of plants, including work-up section performance.

You will be responsible for providing training and coaching. You will be called upon to identify improvement opportunities of the FCC plants, including their workup section and participate in plant test runs, hydrocarbon utilization, and energy and safety related studies in and outside the USA. You will conduct process designs for FCC plant modifications projects and coordinate services in FCC to ensure an integrated solution is provided to the customers. You will participate in the global business development/marketing effort in the field of catalytic cracking and provide leadership in Catalytic Cracking OpTechnet, focusing on defining the need for development work.

Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and approximately 5 or more years of professional experience in refining processes and catalytic cracking. You must possess the ability to lead a team, influence others, have good people skills and be a team player. You must also posses good written and verbal communication skills, have a high degree of self-motivation and be able to handle several tasks at once. You should posses the skills necessary to strive for continuous improvement and be able to work in a Global environment.
